About the program

Gain the basic skills and general knowledge needed to begin a career as a Process Technician for a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or chemical manufacturing company. A process technician operates, monitors, and controls the production process; receives, transports, and stores materials; collects and analyzes materials used in production; inspects and maintains the production equipment and control systems; keeps critical records on the process and product; and maintains company safety, health, and environmental standards. This course will also cover all aspects of the job search process, resume preparation, and interviewing practice. Lecture and assignments will be in-person and labs will be hands-on. 136 hours.

What you'll do

Persons holding the BioWorks Processing Technician certification are qualified to work in Pharmaceuticals, chemical processing or other jobs in which attention to detail and precise measures and adherence to processes and procedures are required.
