About the program

The goal of this internship is to provide the DoD SkillBridge Intern with the training necessary to successfully find employment as a Law Enforcement Officer role. By leveraging the intern's experience and Marion County Sheriff’s Office training, a career with the Agency could begin as soon as the intern departs active duty.

Eligibility

Professional writing and excellent interpersonal skills are required. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office software and ability to multitask.All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check prior to starting the internship.

Good to know

During the evaluation period the intern's performance will be honestly evaluated and a possible job offer could be made depending on performance and the Agency’s needs. The Intern should expect to understand exactly where their future role with the Agency would be and how to complete the duties and assignments of that role in a satisfactory manner.
