About the program
This HR division focuses on three core areas: developing talent through Interns and Fellows programs, staff retention programs, and community partnerships to strengthen access, opportunity, and positive outcomes for County residents.
What you'll do
Examples of Duties:
- Work with internal and external partners to assist with recruitment, workshops, and meetings, and develop templates, professional development, and training plans
- Coordinate the SkillBridge program across 5 departments, answering questions, advising individuals and departments, and monitoring the inbox and excel tracker daily
- Support special projects across the HR Department to understand other divisions’ roles and responsibilities
- Collaborate with high schools, local community colleges, community-based organizations, cities, and districts to administer County programs & benefitsTraining Outcomes:
- Learn employee engagement and team collaboration strategies
- Ability to establish and maintain partnerships with community and Government agencies
- Strengthen knowledge in administrative and clerical transferable skills for career goals
- Understanding of County operations and structureQualifications/Ability to:
- Develop rapport and maintain effective working relationships with staff and external contacts at all levels with diverse backgrounds
- Work independently and exercise sound judgement
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Possess analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Readiness to learn and utilize computer software (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and job specific applications/systems
