About the program

HCA offers a 6-week training course resulting in lifetime, nationally recognized, certification on 8 pieces of heavy construction equipment. Unlike other heavy equipment schools, HCA has a 1:1 ratio for student to equipment and provides a construction site atmosphere for the training. Students will spend approximately 70% of the course operating and being instructed on the following equipment: Skid Steer, Off Road Dump Truck, Backhoe, Front End Loader, Vibratory Roller, Motor Grader, Excavator, Bulldozer.

  • HCA provides each student Round trip transportation from anywhere in the United States.
  • Housing (private hotel room) is provided while in attendance.
  • HCA provides transportation each training day between the hotel and the academy.
  • Breakfast sandwich is provided at the hotel 7 days per week and the students receive lunch at the school 4 days per week.
  • PPE is provided by HCA (hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, and earplugs).

What you'll do

Operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as Skid Steer, Off Road Dump Truck, Backhoe, Front End Loader, Vibratory Roller, Motor Grader, Excavator, and/or Bulldozer to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavement.
