About the program

Veteran Built Homes is a family-owned construction and remodeling service company founded by retired Navy Veterans who specialize in residential and commercial construction. Founders, Mark Pembleton and Joe Maioriello started the company in 2017, in Northern Virginia, and have since expanded the business throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. Before Veteran Built Homes, Mark and Joe successfully managed hundreds of construction projects worldwide, including hospitals, schools, and federal buildings. Their vast portfolio of projects and expertise makes Veteran Built Homes a leading business in meeting customers’ construction, remodeling, and repair needs. Our Skillbridge program offers training in Project management, Planning & Estimating, as well as OJT training in the following trades: Carpentry, Electrical & Plumbing.

What you'll do

Our Skillbridge program will prepare interns for a career in Project management, planning & estimating as well as fundamental training in the following trades; Carpentry, Electrical, and plumbing.

Eligibility

Target military occupations

It is preferred, but not required for our interns to have some construction knowledge. Examples of military occupations that would be a good fit would be members serving with the US Navy Seabees, Army Engineers, Airforce redhorse squadrons, or Marine Corps engineer units.
