About the program
McDonald Electricals' Estimating and Project Management program teaches students how to bid, plan, manage and execute on client projects of various types and sizes that may include one or more lines of service including installation of Power Distribution Systems; Lighting and Lighting Control Systems; Fire Alarm/Life Safety Systems; Low Voltage Systems, Tenant Fit-out, Electrical Renovations, and Service/Maintenance work. Topics include intro to Plans & Specifications, Bidding, Job Start-Up, Labor & Scheduling, Building Information Modeling & Prefabrication, Submittals and Change Order Management, Safety and the various technologies to support.
What you'll do
Successful demonstration of the skills noted above can lead to Estimator Roles or Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager roles; longer term career opportunities may include Senior Project Manager and Division Manager.
