Defense Software Project Management

This internship provides an opportunity to apply military leadership, operational planning, and mission execution experience while gaining hands-on experience managing software-intensive defense programs. Participants will work alongside experienced project managers, software engineers, systems engineers, and government customers supporting the development, integration, and early demonstration of mission-critical software capabilities.This position is well suited for military personnel with experience leading technical teams, managing complex operations, coordinating multidisciplinary organizations, or supporting acquisition, command and control, intelligence, aviation, cyber, or weapons system programs who are interested in transitioning into civilian project management careers.

Position OverviewOnyx Aerospace is seeking transitioning active-duty Service Members for a DoD SkillBridge Internship supporting advanced Department of Defense software development and technology demonstration programs.This internship provides an opportunity to apply military leadership, operational planning, and mission execution experience while gaining hands-on experience managing software-intensive defense programs. Participants will work alongside experienced project managers, software engineers, systems engineers, and government customers supporting the development, integration, and early demonstration of mission-critical software capabilities.This position is well suited for military personnel with experience leading technical teams, managing complex operations, coordinating multidisciplinary organizations, or supporting acquisition, command and control, intelligence, aviation, cyber, or weapons system programs who are interested in transitioning into civilian project management careers.SkillBridge Program InformationThis internship is conducted under the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.
