Data Center Quality Inspector

This training opportunity will teach the trainee the role of Data Center Quality Inspector for the construction of Hyperscale Data Centers. Trainees will learn to inspect electrical and mechanical assets such as switchgear, panelboards, diesel generators, cooling towers, chillers, motor control centers, and more. Trainees will use electrical drawings and schematics to validate equipment. Testing and analysis of fuel, and collection of vibration data from rotating equipment for initial startup. Electrical tests such as Insulation Resistance (MEGGER), and Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter (DLRO) will we taught and utilized. Infrared Imaging (Thermography) will be taught and performed, with Level I and Level II Thermography certification upon completion. Through Classroom and Lab time, trainees will have a deeper understanding of fundamentals while completing hands-on training throughout.

-Gain a deep understanding of electrical safety-Master Lock Out Tag Out procedures-Operation and certification of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms-Gain a deep understanding of the Quality and Commissioning process (step by step, same time every time)-Visual inspection of electrical and mechanical equipment, wiring, and piping-Wire integrity (tug tests), label verification, and point-to-point verification of wiring through multimeter-Documentation of inspections through electronic checklists and photographs-Inspection of electrical busway and mechanical splices in Data Hall-Bore scoping of fuel tanks in standby diesel generators prior to initial fueling-Use of Vibrometer to collect vibration data on rotating equipment such as generators, cooling towers, and pumps-Insulation Resistance (MEGGER) testing of cables prior to initial energization-Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeter (DLRO) testing of electrical busway-Thermography for troubleshooting (Quantitative inspections), as well as Qualitative Inspections

A portion of initial training will be provided in Bennington, Nebraska, regardless of location of OJT training placement. OSHA 10 certification must be completed prior to trainee can report to an active construction site for On-the-Job Training.
