About the program
Vista Trans Holding is seeking motivated transitioning military personnel interested in starting a professional trucking career. Our CDL Class A training program for Dry van trailer drivers provides hands-on over-the-road training with experienced trainers, preparing participants for a full-time OTR driver position upon successful completion. No previous trucking experience is required, only valid CDL class A.

CDL Class A Trainee ProgramVista Trans Holding offers an opportunity for transitioning military members to begin a rewarding career in the transportation industry.During this program participants will:
- Receive over-the-road training with experienced driver trainers with Dry van Trailers
- Learn safe operation of commercial vehicles
- Gain real-world experience in long-haul freight transportation
- Understand FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service compliance
- Develop trip planning, load securement, inspection, and safety skills
- Receive mentoring throughout the training process.After successful completion of training, participants may qualify for a full-time CDL Class A OTR Driver position with Vista Trans Holding.
Eligibility
Target military occupations
Open to all Military Occupational Specialties (MOS/MOC/AFSC/Rating). No transportation background required, only valid CDL class A
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program
- Ability to pass DOT drug screening and pre-employment requirements
- Acceptable driving record
- No DUI, SAP, or serious FMCSA disqualifying violations
- Willing to travel over-the-road for training and employment
Good to know
Participants receive paid on-the-job training while transitioning from military service. Successful graduates may be offered full-time employment with Vista Trans Holding based on performance and business needs.
