Our goal as a SkillBridge partner is:

Provide transitioning service members with an employment opportunity at The University of Texas at Austin.
Support transitioning service members with the potential for future employment with a university partner.
Provide meaningful On-the-Job Training (OJT) experience.
Assist transitioning service members in their transition to the Austin Metropolitan area.

The initial phase of The University of Texas at Austin’sSkillBridge participation is focused on the Campus Operations and Planning unit (https://operations.utexas.edu/), which includes Facilities Services; Grounds and Landscape; Operational Safety and Compliance; Planning, Design and Construction; Utilities and Energy Management; and Business Operations departments.

We are dedicated to creating a world-class experience for our community to ensure The University of Texas at Austin succeeds in its vision to be the highest-impact public university in the world.

We are open to accepting any rank, skills designator, military service, or level of experience for placements that last anywhere from 90–180 days.
We believe an employee’s true value is demonstrated through producing high-quality results, working collaboratively, taking initiative, and serving others, with the understanding that in the Campus Operations and Planning unit, technical skills can be taught.
